We do not teach programming in these rooms.
We teach the principle first and a specific assistant second. The named tools are the ones working Canadians can actually open: widely available writing assistants, the office suite you already pay for, and simple no-code connectors when the course is Automations. We will not walk you into a shopping cart, and we will not require a brand-new vendor account if your organization forbids it. If your IT has approved a particular platform, we will work with that as the second layer.
Live is the core: task, showing, your attempt, review. We record when the room agrees, and we supply transcripts so a missed week or a slow connection is not a failed course. Recordings are for enrolled participants. They are not a product you can buy instead of attending. If you know you cannot be live for most sessions, tell us before you enrol — some formats will not hold.
You get the recording (where we have one), the notes, and a short written catch-up on the artefact that week was supposed to produce. If you need a specific seating arrangement, captioning beyond the transcript, or files in a particular format, tell us on intake. Write to us that week. If the mismatch is the level or the format, we will look at moving you to another open intake or another course where a seat exists. Yes, live online across Canada on Eastern Time. In person we teach in Toronto. We will travel for a closed team program when the group is large enough that the travel is part of a serious quote, not a gesture. A room of four in another province is an online cohort, and we will say so.
Principles first: briefing, checking, classification, what must never be pasted. Tool notes are dated. You keep materials for twelve months and see the updates. We will not rewrite a course every time a vendor ships a button. If a change breaks a method we taught, we send a short note to the recent cohort rather than pretending the old screenshot still holds.
A twenty-minute call is usually enough to see whether Foundations, a team intensive, or something we do not offer is the right next step. We would rather send you away than fill a chair badly.
